Systems & 3rd Party Integration |
The ability to efficiently integrate with
other third-party applications and services
is fundamental to the solutions that we
provide.
Below are a number of examples of where our
integration services have benefited existing
clients:
Sage Line 50
The Sage Line 50 accounting system provides
the foundation of many accounts departments. Origin have worked with a number of clients
in developing a range of Sage integration
modules and services, accessible through
both web and standard application
front-ends.
The internal management of accounting data
is normally restricted to a number of select
individuals within most companies, namely
the accounts department. However,
other important data such as stock levels,
production scheduling and project planning
are usually stored elsewhere. When a
user in sales generates a new client within
the 'Client Relationship Manager (CRM)'
system, why not have the client
automatically created within Sage
simultaneously and transparently? When
warehouse stock is low, why not
automatically generate a new order within
both the stock control system and Sage?
The management of company accounts and
financial data is critical to all
organisations, therefore the ability to
improve the accuracy, efficiency and
productivity of this process should be of
interest to all.
Microsoft NAV
(formally Navision Attain)
Microsoft's Dynamics-NAV business
management system (formally Navision Attain)
targets organisations that have outgrown
their basic financial software and require a
more collaborative and all-encompassing
solution.
Its architecture is such that customisation
and process integration is key to the
success of any Navision implementation.
One example of such being Origin's recent
development of a web-based stock and order
checking module - which was integrated into
the client's existing web site. Prior
to this the client was receiving a
significant number of inbound telephone
calls requesting the status of their
previous orders and stock availability. The new solution removes this
resource
overhead by allowing clients to carry out
these check online, in real-time.
Microsoft
SharePoint Portal Services
SharePoint Portal Services
provides an excellent platform for
organisation or department wide
collaboration, through its default
feature-rich toolset - including document
management, forms, tasks, calendars and much
more. As well as this, its close
integration with applications such as
Outlook, Word and Excel make it an inviting
choice to companies of all sizes.
A number of previous customisations and
add-ons have seen Origin deliver the
integration of internal holiday and absence
management, quote tracking, expense
submission and time booking services within
existing SharePoint implementations.
RBS' Client Monies
Services (CMS)
Royal Bank of Scotland's CMS
application provides PC-based corporate
banking services to many UK based
organisations through the likes of RBS,
Natwest and many more...
Origin are heavily involved in the ongoing
development and support of CMS integration
services with a number of financial and
legal firms, and are one of only a few
companies offering a completely integrated
solution.
One example of where Origin's services have
delivered major business benefit to CMS
users is with its payment reconciliation and
Royline/Bankline integration. A client
was manually entering new account credits
into the stand-alone CMS application
individually. This was an extremely time
consuming task and one which regularly caused
internal problems due to human error. The development and integration of our
reconciliation service now automatically
imports these transactions from Royline (RBS
software), reconciles them with
scheduled / expected payments (standing orders
/ direct debits) and posts the monies to CMS
- all at the click of a button. This
also enabled us to automate the generation
of letters to late payers and clients who
defaulted on their account.
